The GIS world is ever changing. With the help of a blog the GIS community can gain information on new and improved GIS tools. Many people have never heard of GIS and have know idea what they could use it for. Blog's are being used in today's society as informative advertising tools. Being able to do solid research on multiple GIS systems helps in the planning stages of a newly developing GIS system.
